I'm Prasenjit Paul, aka Paul Shan — engineer, investor, seeker. Two decades of writing code, more than a decade of building investment theses. Based in Bengaluru, India. Somewhere along the way I figured out how to have a mind that doesn't speak — most of what I write starts in that silence.
The story so far
I loved programming long before it paid. I joined the industry in 2012 and found my place in the startup world — joining some as one of the first five people, helping several grow through their early years, and eventually building my own, imorph. In parallel, the investing practice compounded into Seeker Capital. By 32 the returns let me retire — not for the sake of retirement, but so I never have to do anything I don't want to, at work or in personal life. Everything since then is chosen, and it shows in the work. Before this site, that itch to write went into Void Canvas, my technical blog on JavaScript and web engineering.
Now — an agentic operating system
AI is my most recent fascination, and it has all of my working hours. As Chief AI Officer at Anatta I'm building an agentic operating system — a harness in which AI agents plan, build, review, and ship software end to end. The OS has intelligence of its own: it decides how work flows and picks the right model for each job, so the whole system gets better every time the models do. The aim isn't to assist the software service industry — it's to disrupt it: deliver what a service company delivers, with agents doing the work. The #engineering essays are field notes from this build.
Seeker Capital
The investing side runs as CIO of my own firm — my own money only, no clients, no boss. The tagline is growth that sustains, which is also a fair summary of the strategy: long-term capital behind durable businesses and asymmetric ideas, held for as long as the thesis holds. The theses live in #investing.
Everything else
The rest is curiosity. The X bio version reads: Technology, Physics, Business, Macroeconomics, Biology, Evolution & Philosophy! — and this site is where those threads get pulled. New essays land in RSS first.
